Reviews

1. Overview

The Reviews flow enables the Seller to view the feedback left by Guests for the current listing. Reviews help build Seller reputation and support booking decisions for future Guests.

The Seller accesses the Reviews page via the Review tab in the Dashboard.

3. Core Experience

3.1 Reviews Visibility and Behavior

Guests may leave a review after their event concludes.

For the current marketplace, we only implemented the ability for Guests to leave review for the listing. The Seller is not able to leave review for Guests.

Reviews are publicly visible and pinned to the relevant listing.
Each review includes:
- Guest profile (avatar and name)
- Booking context (event type, number of people)
- Written testimonial and star rating
- Timestamp of submission
- Review upvote/downvote counters

3.2 Seller Permissions

Sellers can only view reviews associated with their listings.
Sellers cannot edit, delete, respond to, upvote, or downvote reviews.
Completed events display a message prompting the Guest to leave a review.

❗ We have not implemented the notification service, including notifying Seller when a review has come in.

3.3 Guest Upvotes/Downvotes

Guests of the same listing can upvote/downvote reviews to indicate usefulness.
High upvoted reviews surface as most helpful.
Downvotes help deprioritize less relevant or poor-quality testimonials.
